"The Estess sisters fight for the life of their sister, Jenifer, in their race to find a cure for ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's disease). Jenifer Estess died on December 16, 2003, but their search for a cure leads to advances in research that will change the course of ALS and other neurological diseases.

This is the remarkable story of three courageous sisters - filmed at a time when Jenifer is almost completely paralyzed, but still fighting for a cure for ALS - even if it comes too late to save her life."

My dad has this so I figured I'll post it and get the word out there. He's along even further then the woman was in the documentary...so I fear he does not have much time left. I feel it is important everyone learns what this disease actually is.

This disease really needs more exposure and more funding. Can you think of any diseases that have not even one form of treatment? Please try to watch it if you can. If you or your family donates to charites, the ALS Foundation badly needs your help. Please spread the word. That's all I ask. Thank you.

HAHA! I was going through all the communities I'm a member of and that includes this one. It looks like it's a ghost town here now. I can't even remember what this community was about. Do you remember?

Ohhhhh ya, Scroogle. I didn't realize this post was in Scroogle It was just a news blog. People posted news stories. It was mainly one guy, and when the one guy who posted stopped, so did everyone else.

Any Disease

Unfortunately... I dont think its financially sound for the "ESTABLISHMENT" to find a cure for anything.... its similar to the first lightbulbs lasting 60 years plus..... a cure would totally decimate certian leeches that benefit from the very existance of any given disease.....
